Every year, the first few weeks of NCAA volleyball seem to bring a handful of gnarly-looking injuries, and it looks like one has just hit Texas. In the middle of Texas’ first set against TCU, sophomore outside hitter Abby Vander Wal landed awkwardly after an attack jump and appeared to have sustained a knee injury. She needed to be helped off the court and was not putting any weight on the affected leg. Sophomore Addy Gaido came in for her.
Nothing more is known as of now, but wishing the best for Vander Wal.
