
Without dropping a set throughout the entire tournament, the U.S. Girls U17 team took home the gold from its first-ever appearance at the U17 World Championship, beating Türkiye 25-23, 25-11, 25-23 in the finals.
The team was led in points by 2029 opposite Kari Knotts, who finished the tournament with 130 points and was named Most Valuable Player. Additionally, Texas A&M 2028 commits Maya Ogbogu and Maija Mortensen were named Best Outside Hitter and Best Middle Blocker, respectively, while 2029 libero Brynli Burgess was named Best Libero.
